Situated on the border between the Berlin boroughs of Mitte and Reinickendorf, the Zentrale Festplatz Berlin is located at the southern end of the former French Military Range.

The city of Berlin is the owner of the Zentrale Festplatz Berlin, with representation through the Borough Government of Mitte. The Berliner Festplatz Verwaltungs GmbH (BFV) has been commissioned with management.

Opened in spring 2000, the fairgrounds offer over 78,000 m² for a multitude of festivals and events. The grounds can be rented from the Berliner Festplatz Verwaltungs GmbH for approximately 200 days per year.
